We’re currently looking for an experienced SQL / Applications Systems Engineer to join a Leading Law firm with a growing technology team supporting critical business applications and data platforms.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server environments, ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability across systems that support key business operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor, maintain, and optimise SQL Server databases and infrastructure
• Install and configure SQL Server, including AlwaysOn, replication, mirroring, and log shipping
• Support and enhance applications and systems that rely on SQL Server
• Design and maintain data integrations across firm systems
• Develop reporting and analytics solutions using SQL Server BI tools and Power BI
• Troubleshoot performance issues and ensure system reliability
Key Experience
• 5+ years administering Microsoft SQL Server in an enterprise environment
• Strong experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, and database performance tuning
• Experience with SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and Power BI
• Knowledge of Azure SQL environments and cloud-based platforms
• Experience with legal technology tools such as iManage, IntApp, or Boomi is highly desirable
