Legal Manager (Property) | Managed Legal Services | Birmingham / Manchester / Leeds
I’m currently partnered with a leading international law firm that’s looking to appoint a senior Property lawyer into a Legal Manager role within its growing Managed Legal Services (MLS) team.
This is a slightly different proposition to a traditional private practice role, ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical expertise with leadership, client strategy and modern service delivery.
What makes this role interesting?
You’ll be operating at the centre of large, complex property portfolios, helping design and deliver scalable legal solutions, while leading teams and working closely with clients at a strategic level.
The role will involve:
- Supporting the growth and development of the Property MLS offering, including solution design and delivery models
- Leading and developing a team of lawyers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment
- Overseeing the delivery of large-scale, portfolio based workstreams (ensuring quality, efficiency and consistency)
- Acting as a senior point of contact for clients, providing commercially focused advice
- Working closely with legal operations teams to drive efficiency and improve delivery
- Championing innovation, process improvement and the use of legal tech/AI
- Collaborating across teams to deliver integrated, client-focused solutions
What they’re looking for:
- 10+ years’ PQE (England & Wales qualified)
- Strong background in commercial property, particularly asset management and large portfolios
- Experience operating at a senior level with direct client exposure
- Proven leadership or team management experience
- Commercially minded, with an interest in alternative legal service delivery models
- Comfortable engaging with legal tech and data-driven approaches
