12 Month Fixed-Term Contract

London Based Opportunity
Our client, a top US law firm, is actively hiring for an experienced Legal Conflicts and AML professional to join them as soon as possible in their London office – working as their new Risk Specialist on an initial 12m FTC.
The current Risk Team support the firm on a global scale – advising Partners, Fee-Earners and office staff on legal matters that affect the firm.
As the successful Risk Specialist, you’ll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Facilitating the client and matter onboarding process
- Conducting risk checks on new and existing matters: conflicts of interest, CDD, sanctions and reputational risks
- Conducting in-depth analysis of conflicts and due diligence results
- Producing analysis of reports for Conflict Check Requests for potential new business
- Conducting in-depth research on regulatory, compliance and commercial issues
- Liaising with regulators, including the SRA
- Maintaining databases, risk registers, breach logs and more
- Monitoring changes to relevant rules and regulations (AML, SRA, DAC6, Sanctions)

To be considered for this 12m FTC Risk Specialist opportunity, you’ll need to have/be the following:
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience from a Legal Risk & Compliance background, with Legal Conflicts experience being ESSENTIAL
- Have a strong understanding of conflicts and AML rules
- Have experience using Intapp or other conflicts management tools
- Be able to work to deadlines with strong attention to detail
- Be able to commute to the London office on a regular basis
