Business Development Manager - PE, M&A and Tax

A specialist boutique law firm is hiring a Business Development Manager in a newly created role as part of its investment in building out the team. This is an excellent opportunity to join at a pivotal growth stage and help shape how the firm wins and develops work.

The Role

Working closely with the Chief Strategy and Growth officer, partners, and Growth team, you will drive revenue through execution of Business Growth Plans for M&A (buy-and sell-side), Private Equity and Tax.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with partners to turn growth plans into action, spotting and nurturing opportunities to deepen existing client relationships and win new ones.
  • Bring teams and practice areas together so clients experience the breadth of the firm's expertise as one connected service.
  • Become the first port of call for lawyers looking for growth support, managing each request end to end from initial brief through to delivery.
  • Take ownership of proposals, credentials, and capability documents, making sure everything reflects the firm's current strengths and wins.
  • Work closely with the CSGO and partners to deliver the firm's annual growth strategy and campaigns.
  • Use CRM and the firm's AI tools to map out ideal client profiles, segment audiences, and build outreach campaigns that land with the right people.
  • Coordinate and manage the firms annual directory and awards submissions

About You

  • 4–7 years’ BD/growth experience in professional services
  • Strong track record of influencing partners and winning work
  • Proactive, hands-on, and thrives in a lean, entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent writing, communication, and project management skills
  • Excellent writing, presentation and project management skills
