Overview

A leading international law firm is seeking a Knowledge Lawyer (Employment, EMEA) to support the Employment Practice Group’s strategic objectives. Working closely with senior leadership, this role will focus on delivering high-quality knowledge resources, training, and legal content across a complex, matrixed environment.

The successful candidate will act as a key knowledge partner to the practice, understanding the needs of lawyers across the group and coordinating with internal stakeholders to deliver effective, forward-thinking solutions.


Key Responsibilities

Knowledge & Legal Content

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance precedent documents and legal materials (including supervising junior lawyers where appropriate)
  • Monitor legal and market developments, providing timely and relevant updates to the practice
  • Contribute to multi jurisdictional knowledge resources and identify gaps in existing materials
  • Support lawyers with queries by delivering clear, practical, and commercially focused guidance

Training & Development

  • Identify training needs across the group and support the design and delivery of training programmes
  • Produce high-quality training materials using firm systems and technology
  • Actively promote and contribute to internal learning initiatives

Client-Facing & Business Development Support

  • Collaborate with Business Development teams on client alerts, thought leadership, and proposals
  • Support or lead on the creation of client-facing legal content and training
  • Identify key legal and commercial trends and develop related content

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build strong relationships across the firm, promoting a knowledge-sharing culture
  • Work closely with lawyers, business professionals, and innovation teams
  • Support wider initiatives including diversity & inclusion, CSR, and pro bono activities

Operations & Innovation

  • Drive improvements in knowledge systems, processes, and efficiency
  • Promote the use of legal technology, including document automation and AI tools
  • Contribute to knowledge-related projects and strategic initiatives


Candidate Profile

  • Qualified lawyer (or eligible) with strong experience in employment law in England & Wales
  • Solid understanding of English contract law
  • Proven ability to work with senior stakeholders in a strategic capacity
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence operating in an international environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Comfortable using legal tech or open to developing skills in this area

  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required
