Business Support Manager – London (Hybrid)
A leading City law firm is seeking a Business Support Manager to oversee operations across a number of key departments. This is an excellent opportunity for either an established Manager or a strong Senior-level candidate ready to step up into a broader, more strategic role.
The Role
You will be responsible for the smooth operational running of multiple teams, acting as a key link between Partners, fee earners and business services functions. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who can quickly embed themselves, add value and drive efficiencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned departments
- Manage, mentor and develop a team of PAs
- Support senior stakeholders with projects and operational initiatives
- Act as a central point of contact across Finance, HR, IT and BD teams
- Monitor utilisation, workflow and team performance
- Oversee billing processes, WIP and debt management
- Support business development activity and client initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement across processes and systems
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within a business support or PA function
- Previous management experience is essential
- Background within a law firm or wider professional services environment preferred
- Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Confident, proactive and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
