We are currently recruiting for an experienced Residential Property & Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join a well established and highly regarded law firm.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong property experience who enjoys working in a busy, client-focused environment and providing high-quality support to fee earners.

The Role

You will provide day-to-day secretarial and administrative support to a busy Property team, assisting with a varied caseload and helping to ensure matters progress smoothly from instruction through to completion.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing proactive secretarial support to Solicitors.
  • Preparing and formatting legal documents and correspondence, including using digital dictation.
  • Opening and closing files and assisting with the general administration of property matters.
  • Managing diaries, appointments, meetings and deadlines.
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, brokers and other third parties by telephone and email.
  • Assisting with the preparation and management of conveyancing documentation.
  • Supporting fee earners with exchanges, completions and post-completion administration.
  • Carrying out Land Registry searches and other property-related searches where required.
  • Preparing completion statements and assisting with financial administration.
  • Maintaining accurate client and matter records and ensuring documents are filed correctly.
  • Handling confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Providing a high level of client service and ensuring queries are dealt with promptly.

About You

  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within Residential Property/Conveyancing.
  • A good understanding of the residential conveyancing process.
  • Excellent typing and document production skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines.
  • Confident communication skills and a professional approach to client contact.
  • A proactive and supportive attitude, with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
