Permanent Opportunity | Salary Up To £45,000pa
Our client, a top UK law firm, is actively recruiting for an experienced Legal Risk & Compliance professional to join them on a permanent basis in their London – working as their new Risk & Compliance Officer.
You’ll be situated in the wider Risk & Compliance team – focusing on all areas of both internal and external legal compliance.
As the successful Risk & Compliance Officer, you’ll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Answering AML queries raised by fee-earners and secretaries
- Researching and providing opinions on complex AML related queries alongside the Compliance Manager
- Supporting and developing internal AML knowledge and best practice
- Reviewing client matter files and ensuring proper client opening
- Ensuring all adequate CDD is conducted on all clients and ensuring compliance with the firm’s ongoing monitoring obligations
- Providing monthly updates to the wider Compliance Team when necessary

To be considered for this opportunity as their new Risk & Compliance Officer, you’ll need to have/be the following:
- Have previous LEGAL Risk & Compliance experience, focusing on AML and CDD
- Ideally, have a completed LLB or GDL
- Be able to commute to the London office on a regular basis
- Have excellent interpersonal skills
- Having existing/prior experience within Commercial Real Estate or Private Client
