HR Systems Analyst (18‑Month FTC)

London | Hybrid Working

My client, a highly regarded UK law firm, is seeking a HR Systems Analyst to join its HR team on an 18‑month fixed‑term contract. This role can be based in either London or Cardiff and will play a key part in a wider transformation programme across HR systems and processes.

The firm is investing significantly in people technology and modernisation, and this position sits at the centre of that change. It offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative HR function while gaining hands‑on exposure to a large‑scale system implementation and optimisation.

The Role

The HR Systems Analyst will focus on supporting and enhancing the firm’s HR technology landscape, with particular emphasis on a newly implemented HR system (SuccessFactors) and its associated modules, including Employee Central, Payroll, Learning, Performance, and Onboarding.

This role is highly data‑driven, with strong exposure to reporting, analytics, integrations, and process design. You will work closely with HR colleagues, IT, and the wider business to ensure systems are accurate, efficient, and fit for purpose.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting integrations between HR systems and wider business platforms
  • Designing and developing a suite of standard HR reports and dashboards using SuccessFactors and reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Proposing, designing, and delivering system improvements to enhance functionality and user experience
  • Supporting the decommissioning of legacy HR systems and ensuring a smooth transition
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through better use of HR technology
  • Designing, documenting, and improving HR processes in line with system changes
  • Supporting data governance and ensuring GDPR compliance across all people systems

About You

This role would suit someone with a strong blend of HR systems expertise and analytical capability, who enjoys working in a fast‑paced professional environment and collaborating across functions.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate

  • At least 3 years’ experience working with HR systems and HR data
  • Strong expertise in SuccessFactors, particularly Report Stories
  • Experience collecting, exporting, analysing, and presenting HR data
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong numerical and analytical skills
  • The ability to clearly explain technical data and system functionality to non‑technical stakeholders
  • Confidence communicating at all levels, both written and verbal
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with strong problem‑solving skills
  • High awareness of data governance, confidentiality, and GDPR requirements
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Flexibility to travel between offices when required
  • A collaborative approach and genuine enjoyment of working as part of a team
