A highly regarded international law firm is seeking a dedicated and personable PA to provide one-to-one support to an Associate within the business.

This is a unique opportunity that goes beyond a traditional PA role. Working closely in partnership with the Associate, you will provide a blend of administrative, research and accessibility support, becoming a trusted extension of their practice and helping to ensure they can work as effectively and efficiently as possible.

The position would suit someone with a genuine interest in the legal sector who enjoys being involved in the substance of legal work, whilst also bringing a caring, patient and supportive approach to their day-to-day interactions.

The Role

This is a highly collaborative position that will involve significant exposure to legal content, research and document preparation. You will play a key role in supporting the Associate with the management of their workload, assisting with legal and client-facing materials, and providing practical support where required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with legal research projects and the preparation of research papers, client advice and legal publications
  • Preparing, formatting and proofreading presentations, articles, reports, correspondence and other written materials
  • Creating and maintaining data analysis tables, spreadsheets and charts
  • Taking detailed notes during meetings, calls and discussions
  • Reading and reviewing documents and on-screen content where required
  • Assisting with document and email management, filing and organisation
  • Accompanying the Associate to meetings where necessary and providing administrative support
  • Supporting with accessibility requirements and practical day-to-day office assistance
  • Managing ad hoc tasks and helping to ensure priorities are effectively coordinated
About You
  • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or PA within a professional services environment
  • A genuine interest in legal work and an eagerness to become involved in research and document-based tasks
  • Strong analytical and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A caring, patient and empathetic nature with the ability to build a trusted working relationship
  • Proactive, adaptable and able to work independently
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
  • Fast and accurate typing skills
